Old Mountain specializes in pre-seasoned cast iron cookware. Like all Old Mountain cast iron cookware, this Dutch oven heats evenly, retains the heat, and is extremely versatile. It will fry, sauté, grill, roast, stew, and bake. Perfect for both stove and oven with its flat bottom, dome lid, and wire bail handle.
Pre-seasoned and ready to use just follow the simple cleaning instructions prior to initial use. After use, cleaning is also simple. Just hot water, preferably while the Dutch oven is still warm. Detergent need not be used and should not as it will remove the seasoning. Dry throughly and store.
With an 8 quart capacity, it has a 13.25 inch diameter, measures 14 inches wide including side-handles, and has a 7.5 inch height. The dome lid is included. Soft utensils are recommended as heavy use of metal could remove seasoning.
